Hong Kong Island
Hong Kong Island is the territory's original urban core, and still its financial and social centre — a narrow strip of skyscrapers squeezed between the harbour and the steep green slopes of Victoria Peak.
Central & Admiralty
The financial district, home to the tallest towers, the elevated Central–Mid-Levels escalator, and the lower terminus of the Peak Tram.
Sheung Wan & Western District
Older, more local streets west of Central, known for dried seafood shops, antique dealers on Hollywood Road, and a growing café scene.
Wan Chai & Causeway Bay
Wan Chai mixes old shophouses with nightlife; Causeway Bay is dense, neon-lit shopping territory and one of the busiest retail districts anywhere.
The Southern District
Over the ridge from the skyscrapers, Aberdeen, Stanley and Repulse Bay offer a slower, more coastal side of the Island — fishing-village history, a market town, and beaches.
